Smart Planning and Workflow with our architects for commercial projects

Our commercial architecture process includes four major steps to achieve your business goals

Step 1: Site preview and project brief

Our Architects start with a site analysis to determine maximum floor spaces and future flexibility of the tenancies.

In particular, we determine appropriate accessibility and review similar projects nearby.

Our commercial architects work closely with our clients to establish a project brief that meets their needs and aims to maximise site returns. The project brief includes estimating timeframes, determining the client’s preferred deadlines, and advice on the required sub-consultants and their associated costs.

Step 2: Design and development

We design a preliminary floor plan and as we develop the plans further with the client’s review, we provide 3D modelling of the project.

This documentation also includes an estimate of timeframes which takes into consideration the clients preferred deadlines, making allowances for the required sub-consultants’ timeframes.

Step 3: Documentation and council approvals

Our Redlands architects then closely consider the council requirements and up-to-date legislation in order to get the necessary approvals and authorisations so that the construction process can commence.

As our office works well with all consultants, we will make this step as smooth and as expedient as possible, so you will benefit from a stress-free process from start to finish.

Step 4: Building process and quality control

Quality control is paramount, that’s why we conduct weekly site meetings with the builder to ensure that the build quality and documentation / specifications are maintained.

Time and cost-saving ideas are always considered and may be approved should construction longevity and safety not be compromised.

Certificates of every stage of completion are provided by the relative sub-consultants and sub-contractors. Ashcroft Architects undertakes a final defects review before providing the client’s financier with the authority to make the final payment to the builder.

All certificates of completion are provided from the relative sub-consultants and sub-contractors via the builder to the private certifier.

We always welcome feedback and testimonials from our happy clients.
